Many times, we seek practical and objective solutions. Whether in your business or your life, knowing to solve a problem in an efficient way will allow you to use your time better in other things. Design Thinking is not merely a designer thing. It is a great method that may be adopted in diverse professional areas. The name is given because it uses a common logic to designers.

Designers are naturally trained to observe. Constantly, we are called to solve problems and to develop solutions for our clients. We do researches, look to capture the essence of the business, and “put it on the paper”, or at our software, our ideas that may solve what we need. We think about doing remarkable things and, for this, we need to understand what people hope to see and feel.

Think quickly about a restaurant table. Probably, you thought about a basic table, four legs, and maybe some chairs. But, when you start to think about the experience a user could have in that place, what do you imagine? Design Thinking makes us look directly at peoples’ needs and imagine what impact we could create for people who will receive the results. It is not only about solving problems but also creating solutions that really look at the user, study, prototype, and even make mistakes while we try to make it better.

When it becomes about people, many factors enter the game. There is the cultural matter, the language, the age, and so. That is why it is so important to think about who will receive our product; then, we are able to put into practice our ideas. Thinking well, you can imagine a Burger Establishment owner, for example, selecting the flavors of the menu according to his clients. Maybe a musician picking his main track due to what is playing nowadays or what his fans like to listen to. Design Thinking is something that can reach many areas and allow your work to be more empathetic and efficient.

What about looking at the world in a more designer way?
